Domaine Bénédicte & Stéphane Tissot
Jura, France

35 ha

The  Domaine Tissot started  with André and Mireille in 1962. They decided to start a wine production in the Jura, located in Montigny-les-Arsures, in the beautiful Arbois wine region.  During  the 90’s, Stéphane, the son, and his wife Bénédicte, made a  radical conversion and  eliminated the use of chemistry in the vineyards. The 35 hectares of vineyards have been cultivated in biodynamics since 2004, Demeter certified, located among the most qualitative terroirs of Jura :  Curon, La Mailloche, Les Bruyères and famous Château-Chalon.
In order to guarantee a biodynamic approach, more than 15 people are working  constantly throughout  the year in the vineyards. A non-interventionist philosophy is followed as well in the cellar :  indigenous yeasts only, no filtration, low or no use of sulfur and separate vinifications, up to obtaining 36 different cuvées ! All these different wines are the perfect translation of this particular terroir and each one expresses his own character and personality.
